School Group Visits
Education is a core segment of our mission! We’re proud to offer guided tours designed to engage and inspire students through hands-on, real-world encounters with music technology history. Before booking a tour for your school group, please review the following important information:
Our exhibits and tours are designed to explore the technical, historical, and cultural aspects of music technology. Because of this:
- High school and university students are the target audience for our educational school group tours. Our standard tour is especially relevant for students in music production, electronic music, and recording technology courses but should appeal to any students with a general interest in music.
- Middle school students might find our standard tours a bit long and/or over-their-heads. Please contact us to discuss options as we are able to tailor the tour to accommodate a younger age range, especially if your students already have a musical background.
- Elementary school students: At this time, we do not offer tours for students below middle school level.
School Tour Options & Customization
We are happy to customize your visit to support classroom learning goals. Upon request, we can include:
- Introductory lessons in acoustics, sound science, or historic preservation
- Custom tour content aligned with your curriculum or course themes
- Flexible tour length if you're working with a tight schedule

Pricing for educational tours varies depending on the size of the group, length of the tour, and additional lessons requested. To discuss options and pricing for your group, please contact us.
NOTE: We never want cost to be a barrier to students’ music education. Financial assistance and/or discounted rates are available to students/schools in need. Please inquire when contacting us about the school tour.
